Much of it pertains to recreation and racing, but in many parts of the world, including the United States, horses are still put to work daily doing important tasks. A horse by nature is fearful of humans, but when raised gently with a lot of touch from birth, horses grow fond of people and serve them faithfully. Once badly abused, most horses require tremendous patience and training to regain their trust in people. Some never do. |
