Wow, this was a very long and exhausting study done by 12 top teams of scientists and panel members from around the world.
Today they announced that they had met in committee and agreed with the opinion stated by a number of prominent and well respected authors and teachers, that in fact, war was very destructive and generally led to a rapid decline of empires.
Said one professor, ” we noticed a severe decline at various critical times in history, followed by poverty and disease in most cases, and noted that, sure enough, usually right around that time there were some famous wars. ” The conclusion was inevitable, he said, and all the panel members agreed.
“We’re not quite sure how to adjust to this realization,” said the leader of one team. ” Most likely, we’ll be conducting a further study of this issue.”
One government official, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that a special research team has been set up to determine how to make the wars less destructive. ”We must find a way to continue with our important wars without all the unfortunate side-effects”, he said.
“One of the problems is that the warriors miss their targets and destroy stuff that takes a long time to rebuild. Plus, a lot of innocent people get killed,” he said.
” We have found it difficult to determine which people are actually the bad ones, and where they are hiding. Many of them look very normal. That presents some difficulties with targeting”, he continued. ”We would like to find a system that makes them stand out more.”
