In another surprise announcement, D.U.H. today revealed the results of another inquiry.

Working hard doesn’t always make you rich.

“We were getting a lot of complaints”,  said the spokesperson from D.U.H.    ”Many people had been told that if they worked very hard they would by now have a lot of money, but it had not happened yet.”    One person told us, ‘all I have is a backache, and that’s not fair.’

“So we started an investigation, and sure enough, we discovered that there were many very hard working people who were not doing so well in the money department.   It turns out that it really depends a lot on how much you get paid for the time that you are working, ”  he continued.   “That’s why there were so many complaints.”

He went on to say that many of the hard working people had noticed that some people who didn’t work very hard were already quite rich, especially the ones in the government.    However, he did acknowledge that some people read books and study things, which helps them get more money for the same amount of time.

Another thing the study discovered is that if you spend a lot of money, you might not get rich no matter how hard you work or how much you get paid.

“Our conclusions were quite startling to some of our staff, so you can imagine how some people will take this news,”  the spokesperson said.  ”They’ve been working very hard, and none of them are rich yet.    Hearing this news will probably make them depressed.”
