“A short pencil is better than a long memory”
Ask anyone who is successful in business and they will tell you; one way or another, you need a PHYSICAL list, of what needs to get done and in what order if you want to make certain something gets done. In aviation, that’s a checklist. Hospital workers use them and so do scuba divers. Wherever safety is involved, people use checklists.
Certain things must always be on a primary list for any business.
planning and review
file paperwork / tidy office
build / maintain partner / employee / supplier relationships
forecasting and testing
Or, from a pilot’s perspective
flight plan filed
clearance and takeoff
heading and course correction, winds
weather and terrain awareness
alternate airports and routes
position check, arrival time estimate
